This restored F-100 looks stock, but during its restoration it was treated to a significant performance upgrade. Open the all-American-steel hood and stand in awe of one of Ford's rarest FE motors - the 427ci Top-Oiler. These engines were used in many racing applications in the '60s including the Shelby 427 Cobra S/C. Performance upgrades include an aluminum 2x4 intake manifold, dual Holley carburetors, healthy cam and stainless tube headers to a free-flow exhaust.

With the dress-up package, this engine looks and sounds like something Carroll Shelby would have kept around his ranch to impress his visitors.

Restoration Details

The solid body was carefully refinished in Rangoon Red. The undercarriage is nicely detailed and a Ford 9-inch differential with street gearing spins Goodyear Eagle GT radials mounted on period-correct 15-inch Magnum 500 wheels. Chrome is excellent as are the tall F-O-R-D letters spelled out on the tailgate. The painted bed looks brand new.

Inside the classic old-school cab, the seating was reupholstered in black cloth/vinyl, custom door cards were installed and a padded dash holds a full complement of factory gauges along with a tachometer to remind you of your engine's redline. Sounds are provided by a resto-styled AM/FM unit.
