1963 was the first year of the Corvette Stingray and the only year with a split rear window. This stunning, fully restored Corvette Coupe comes finished in the desirable, rare original color combination of Tuxedo Black with stunning red interior and is an icon among Corvette enthusiasts.
A must-have show-quality car for the serious Corvette enthusiast, this collectible classic is powered by a 327 cubic inch 340 horsepower engine backed by the original four-speed transmission and was once considered to be one of the fastest cars on the road.
Other features include hidden headlamps, non-functional hood vents and an independent rear suspension.
327 Cubic Inch Engine
The legendary Chevrolet 327ci V-8 engine was the first engine to give the Corvette true muscle. Introduced in 1962 and available until 68, power ranged from 210 hp to 375 hp depending on the choice of carburator or fuel injection, camshaft, cylinder heads, pistons and intake manifold. The Duntov solid lifter cam version this example has produced 340 hp with single Carter 4-barrel carbureator. The 327 engine could give many big blocks a run for their money.
This 1963 Split-Window Stingray Coupe features a stunning red interior. The interior for the 1963 Split-Window Stringray Coupe was more practical than that of its predecessors with a roomy glove box, more luggage space, and the cowl-ventilation system. Other interior features included in this collectible classic include round gauges and a control center with a clock and a vertically situated radio.
